WHO WE ARE Penelope Daborn Ltd., an interior design and decorating firm, was established in the Old Port of Portland, ME in 1996, with a second studio evolving in Lenox, MA in 2007. The business remains small, with Penny preferring to work personally with most of the clients. Penelope Daborn, ASID Allied, Principal Penny was born and raised in Kenya and India, lands of sumptuous visual contrasts; hence her appreciation of color and shape is as instinctive as it is learned. Her education in the U.K. and work in London, Vancouver and New York developed a discerning eye for spatial relationships. An ability to listen was honed by years spent in the world of non-profit organizations. She opened Penelope Daborn Ltd. shortly after moving to Maine in 1995.   Denise Dillow, Office & Project Manager Denise returned to Maine and joined PDL after many years in various other states as a senior manager for a telecommunications firm. She has also had experience in a professional workroom.
